All I want for Christmas...is an Outside IR35 Contract
The latest data from Outside Spy shows that the number of advertised IT contracts “Outside IR35” appears to be stabilising as the year draws to a close.
The first half of the year, which saw the delayed introduction of HMRC’s “off payroll” rules in April, often saw the number of advertised contracts fluctuating between the 1000-1500 range.
Since the end of the summer though, the number of advertised contracts has risen to the point where it is hovering at around 2000 contracts per week, where it has remained over the last 10 weeks or so.
Despite this good news, the outlook remains fairly uncertain for the contract market. Traditionally, the number of advertised contracts falls in the run up to Christmas, although this doesn’t appear to be the case this year so far, so it's not too late to secure an Outside IR35 Contract for the New Year!
